ON MOTION (No. 15-07) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves council minutes of January 10, 2007, as presented. CARRIED

Peggy Lund, Dan Richards and Jennifer Rose of Great Lakes Power reviewed work proposed for 2007. Dan Richards will look into situation of hydro pole at entrance, 1235 Government Road.

ON MOTION (No. 16-07) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Donna Connolly that council applies to Infrastructure Ontario/Rural Infrastructure Investment Initiative as discussed and approves By-law 856-07 as presented. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 17-07) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves road accounts to December 31, 2006 as presented in the amounts as follows: Operating $18,215.52 COMRIF 13,755.43 CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 18-07) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Donna Connolly that council approves general accounts to January 24, 2007 as presented in the amount of $17,079.08. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 19-07) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council supports the Township of Macdonald in its efforts to keep the Country Calendar area in the Sault Star. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 20-07) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council supports the Town of New Tecumseth in attempting to preserve the Sir Frederick Banting homestead as an Ontario Historical Site. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 21-07) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves consent application, Lot 7, RCP H748, on Cemetery Road. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 22-07) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council supports efforts of Laird Central and Echo Bay Central Schools in petitioning the Algoma District School Board for a new school in the Village of Echo Bay, as discussed. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 23-07) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Donna Connolly that the council meeting be adjourned. CARRIED
