Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Donna Connolly, Chuck Frenette, Wayne Junor, Todd Rydall Road Superintendent: Michael Hunter Clerk: Phyllis MacKay ON MOTION (No. 126-07) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves council minutes of July 25, 2007, as presented. CARRIED Tim Janzen and Jim Erb spoke to council about upgrading approximately one-half mile of Cloudy Lake Road. Council will inquire of Macdonald Township regarding maintenance. Lori and David Hurd appeared before council regarding an ongoing dog issue on Riley Road. ON MOTION (No. 127-07) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council submits its dog control by-law to its solicitor for review. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 128-07) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council advise Walker Engineering that on advise of its engineer and road superintendent, preliminary acceptance of MacDonald Drive in Long Point Subdivision will not be given until such time as deficiencies are rectified. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 129-07) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves road accounts to June 30, 2007 as presented in the amount of $25,721.24. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 130-07) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves general accounts to July 25, 2007 as presented in the amount of $63,918.22. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 131-07) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Donna Connolly that Council approves Asset Management Service as presented by Stefanizzi Professional Corp. and Calam Ruscio Rossi. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 132-07) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council authorizes final letter to MMAH advising that all conditions have been met regarding the Long Point Subdivision. CARRIED It was the consensus of council that Walker Engineering's suggestion regarding Letter of Credit for Long Point Subdivision was acceptable. ON MOTION (NO. 133-07) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Donna Connolly that council approves By-law 865-07 rezoning Lot 16, Plan H445. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 134-07) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves reductions in Rolls 4-23029 and 4-25200 as per MPAC recommendations. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 135-07) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council approves request donation of Laird Central School for $300 for the Welcome Back BBQ. CARRIED It was the consensus of council that Mayor Beitz attends retirement dinner for David Court of Algoma District Service Administrative Board. ON MOTION (No. 136-07) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves Tile Drainage loan Application of Michael and Irma Irvine in the amount of $16,800. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 137-07) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves application to Community Development Corporation of Sault Ste. Marie and Area of Science Enterprise Algoma. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 138-07) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Donna Connolly that the council meeting be adjourned.
