Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Donna Connolly, Charles Frenette, Wayne Junor, Todd Rydall Road Superintendent: Michael Hunter Clerk: Phyllis MacKay ON MOTION (No. 320-07) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves council minutes of November 7, 2007, and recreation committee minutes of June 26, September 25, and October 23, 2007, as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 321-07) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves road accounts to October 31, 2007 as presented: Operating $17,768.18; COMRIF $5,899.47. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 322-07) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves general accounts to November 21, 2007 as presented in the amount of $43,985.61. CARRIED Mayor Beitz and Clerk MacKay will attend a meeting with MTO and express concerns regarding reconstruction and realignment of Highway 17. ON MOTION (No. 323-07) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Donna Connolly that Council instructs By-law Enforcement Officer investigate trailer on property at 374 Calabogie Road, with regards to by-law compliance. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 324-07) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves Kennel By-law 867-07, and request the Attorney General set fines for same. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 325-07) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council authorizes Mayor Beitz sign Final Report for Local Initiative Fund for Flax Seminar of Science Enterprise Algoma. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 326-07) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council supports resolution of Municipality of Morris-Turnberry regarding tire rebate program. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 327-07) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council supports resolution of City of Sault Ste. Marie in its concerns regarding the renaming of highway through Garden River and Echo Bay. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 328-07) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves Accountability and Transparency Policy as amended. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 329-07) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council supports the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities as the Unified Voice of Northeastern Ontario and its creation of seven task forces and focus on these priorities. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 330-07) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council commits financial support to Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities, as the Unified Voice of Northeastern Ontario, in the amount of $.05 per resident of our municipality. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 331-07) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council sets December 12, 2007 as the lone council meeting for December, closes from December 21, 2007 to January 2, 2008, and supports annual staff dinner.
