Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Donna Connolly, Chuck Frenette, Wayne Junor, Todd Rydall Clerk: Phyllis MacKay ON MOTION (No. 57-08) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves council minutes of March 5, 2008 and recreation committee minutes of February 26, 2008, as presented. CARRIED S/Sgt. Wes Moore of Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police and Carlo Berardi, Contact Analyst, Ontario Provincial Police spoke to council about the 2008 Police Services Contract and 2008 Business Plan. Jennifer Moran reviewed Rural/Countryside Policy with Council. Other issues raised at a previous meeting were also reviewed. ON MOTION (No. 57-08) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves general accounts to March 19, 2008 as presented in the amount of $12,542.40. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 58-08) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves road accounts to February 29, 2008 as presented in the amount of $21, 285.89. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 59-08) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council registers three delegates at FONOM/MMAH Annual Conference & Trade Show, May 14 to 16, 2008. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 60-08) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Donna Connolly that council supports the Town of Tecumseh regarding COMRIF Program administration. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 61-08) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Donna Connolly that council donates $100.00 to Special Olympics Hockey Game. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 62-08) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council closes the next portion of the meeting to discuss a personal issue. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 63-08) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council returns to open meeting.
