Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Donna Connolly, Charles Frenette, Wayne Junor, Todd Rydall Road Superintendent: Michael Hunter Deputy Clerk: Rhonda Crozier ON MOTION (No. 142-08) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves council minutes of Sept. 3, 2008 as presented. CARRIED S/Sgt Wes Moore, Sault Ste. Marie Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police attended the joint meeting of Council and Laird Police Services Board. Board members Ralph Crozier and Shirley Lapish were also in attendance. Occurrences from January 1 to August 31, 2008 were reviewed. ON MOTION (No. 143-08) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves general accounts to September 17, 2008 as presented in the amount of $13,897.41. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 144-08) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves the road accounts to August 31, 2008 as presented in the amount of $88,759.64. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 145-08) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council issues Official Plan, Request for Proposal, to list of planning consultants as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 146-08) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Wayne Junor that council passes assumption By-law Number 880-08 for MacDonald Drive, subject to funding for surface treatment being confirmed. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 147-08) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that the council endorses the Town of Innisfil in its request that the Association of Municipalities of Ontario as an intervener at the Ontario Energy Board requests that the distribution charge be reviewed/reduced. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 148-08) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council supports the Township of North Stormont's request to the Board of Directors of MPAC to improve its operations. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 149-08) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council endorses the City of Orillia's resolution regarding the continued use of Coal Generation in Ontario. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 150-08) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves the reduction in assessment for roll #1-121-7 in the amount of $91.95. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 151-08) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Wayne Junor that council agrees to install a dead end/no exit sign on Lakeshore Dr. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 152-08) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council meeting be adjourned.
