MINUTES OF MEETING NUMBER 56 OF
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LAIRD
HELD 0N JUNE 24, 2009
AT THE LAIRD TOWNSHIP OFFICE

ON MOTION (No. 149) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves council minutes of June 10 and recreation committee minutes of June 2, 2009, as presented. CARRIED

Macdonald Township council spoke to council about the Bar River Road, joint proposal for future grants, as well as drainage and other issues. Macdonald Township will contact land owner adjacent Bar River Road regarding acquisition.

ON MOTION (No. 150-09) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves road accounts to May 31, 2009 as presented in the amount of $11,535.68. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 151-09) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves general accounts to June 24, 2009 as presented in the amount of $6,973.78. CARRIED

The 2009 draft budget was reviewed as well as a list of parts for the grader.

ON MOTION (No. 152-09) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council authorizes air conditioning repairs to the grader. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 153-09) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council passes By-law 888-09, appointing Daryl Brumfield as By-law and Provincial Offences Officer. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 154-09) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council supports Township of Bonnechere Valley regarding public libraries grant. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 155-09) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Wayne Junor that council passes By-law Number 889-09 setting tax ratios for 2009. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 156-09) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council passes By-law 890-09, borrowing by-law for 2009. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 157-09) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council employs Noella Aikens and Katharine Willison, for 10 hours each, to clean-up the waste disposal site. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 158-09) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council authorize Roger Fremlin use old grader, provided necessary precautions are taken during moving and operations. A slow moving sign is to be used at all times. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 159-09) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that the council meeting be adjourned. CARRIED
