Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Wayne Junor, Todd Rydall Clerk: Phyllis MacKay ON MOTION (No. 218-09) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves minutes of September 16, 2009, as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 219-09) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves general accounts to October 7, 2009 as presented in the amount of $20,482.11. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 220-09) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves share shed building plans as discussed, and go to tender, closing date to be October 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 221-09) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Dick Beitz that council authorizes Councillor Rydall meet with Bob Wood to have appropriate plans drawn for Laird hall roof. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 222-09) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council supports Matthews Memorial Association in its efforts to review MeadowLink facility plans by donating $400.00. CARRIED It was the consensus of council to open discussions with adjacent townships on use of excavator. ON MOTION (No. 223-09) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that Council supports MPP Lisa MacLeod's efforts to stop the harmonized sales tax, particularly as it relates to purchases of kids sporting equipment, etc. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 224-09) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council authorizes addition of $494.75 to Roll #4-044500 for unpaid culvert costs. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 225-09) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council supports Community Schools Alliance regarding 'Smart Moratorium' on school closures. CARRIED It was the consensus of council to establish October 28, 2009 as the next council meeting date.
