Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Wayne Junor, Todd Rydall Clerk: Phyllis MacKay ON MOTION (No. 206-09) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves minutes of December 2, 2009, as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 207-09) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor, that council approves road accounts to November 30, 2009, as presented in the amount of $17,416.54. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 208-09) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves general accounts to December 16, 2009 as presented in the amount of $34,442.93. CARRIED Draft by-law regarding property on Pine Island Road to be sent to the municipal solicitor for review. ON MOTION (No. 209-09) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council endorses resolution of Regional Municipality of Durham's concerns regarding the lack of authorization of the Provincial Ombudsman to oversee hospitals. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 210-09) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council supports City of Oshawa in petitioning the Provincial Government ensure key holders of apartments and condominiums be bonded. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 211-09) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council authorizes write-off tax amounts receivable under $5.00 on Arrears Notices for a total amount of $72.95. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 212-09) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council authorizes Planning and Administrative Assistant enroll in Municipal Administration Program, and pay tuition fees. CARRIED Ministry of Transportation staff will be contacted regarding recent addition of aggregates to the shoulder of Highway 17. It was the consensus of council to use a generator versus electricity to power share shed and surrounding area at the waste disposal site.
