Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Donna Connolly, Chuck Frenette, Wayne Junor, Todd Rydall Road Superintendent: Michael Hunter Clerk: Phyllis MacKay ON MOTION (No. 01-10) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves minutes of December 16, and recreation committee minutes of December 15, 2009, as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 02-10) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Donna Connolly that council approves general accounts to January 6, 2010 as presented in the amount of $57,128.23. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 03-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council supports the resolution of City of Kawartha Lakes in petitioning the Provincial Government have appropriate Provincial Health Officials conduct a study, of the adverse health effect now being experienced with regard to wind turbines, in advance of the issuance of permits in connection with Green Energy. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 04-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council supports the resolution of City of Pembroke in petitioning the Provincial Government, specifically the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Algonquin Forestry Authority, and the Ontario Parks Board, cease the Lightening of Footprint initiative until there is a comprehensive and direct consultation with the rural communities directly impacted. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 05-10) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council communicates with Tarbutt Township that it is not interested in considering clear bags for the disposal site, at this time. CARRIED It was the consensus of council to employ Colleen Orr, as per recommendation of the Bar River Hall Committee, as caretaker of the Bar river Hall. Quotes will be obtained on a generator for the waste disposal site. ON MOTION (No. 06-10) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that council closes the next portion of the meeting to discuss personal issues regarding Full-time Staff Agreement. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 07-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council returns to open meeting. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 08-10) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Donna Connolly that council authorizes wage increases for 2010, 2011 and 2012 as presented.
