Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Chuck Frenette, Wayne Junor, Todd Rydall Road Superintendent: Michael Hunter Clerk: Phyllis MacKay ON MOTION (No. 35-10) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves minutes of February 17, as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 36-10) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves attendance at Small Landfill Operators Course, Road Super Mike Hunter. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 37-10) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves general accounts to March 3, 2010 as presented in the amount of $10,181.78. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 38-10) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Wayne Junor that council supports the Town of Gravenhurst in petitioning the Provincial Government authorize the Provincial Ombudsman to have jurisdiction over Ontario hospitals which spend more than $20 billion in public money every year. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 39-10) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves By-law Number 897-10 authorizing Mayor and Clerk sign Extension Agreement - Federal Gas Tax. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 40-10) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council requests details from Algoma Board of Management for the 1.2 million spent on Algoma Manor redevelopment to date. CARRIED Councillors Rydall & Junor reported on OGRA/Roma Conference. It was the consensus of council to hold next meeting on March 24, 2010.
