Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Donna Connolly, Chuck Frenette, Wayne Junor, Todd Rydall Road Superintendent: Michael Hunter Clerk: Phyllis MacKay ON MOTION (No. 107-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves minutes of June 2, 2010 as presented, with correction on general accounts total to $10,766.36. CARRIED Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and MTO consultants reviewed information on 7 possible locations for interchange on Highway 17, Echo Bay to Bar River Road. ON MOTION (No. 208-10) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Donna Connolly that council approves painting lines on Bar River Road from Highway 17 to Bridge in the Village. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 109-10) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves general accounts to June 16, 2010, as presented in the amount of $11, 479.55. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 110-10) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves road accounts to May 31, 2010, as presented in the amount of $15,987.51. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 111-10) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Donna Connolly that council approves By-law Number 903-10 setting current tax rates, and approving 2010 general budget as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 112-10) Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council advertises for By-law and Provincial Offences Officer to close July 21, 2010, and appoint Colleen Alloi as By-law and Provincial Offences Officer until such time as the advertisement has been attended to. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 113-10) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves municipal solicitor sending letter to property owner on Calabogie Road, as discussed. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 114-10) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves reduction of $23.23, amounts under $5.00 remaining after tax arrears notices printed. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 115-10) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council appoints Phyllis MacKay as managerial member of Health & Safety Committee, as well as Roy Brockelbank, Girlie Collings, Michael Hunter and Jennifer Moran as members. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 116-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council supports Town of New Tecumseth regarding Harmonized Goods and Service Tax. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 117-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council supports City of Kawartha Lakes in its struggle to have the Provincial Government hold the polluter of the Thurstonia oil spill responsible for clean up, not the City of Kawartha Lakes. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 118-10) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Wayne Junor that council requests proof of insurance from Laird International Raceway Inc. (LIR) advising amount of liability coverage as well as a letter from LIR's Broker stating that the policy will not be terminated without prior written notice by the Broker (Insurer) to the Landlord, as per Section 89 of the Lease Agreement. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 119-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council establishes July 21, and August 18, 2010 as dates for the summer meetings of council.
