Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Chuck Frenette, Todd Rydall Road Superintendent: Michael Hunter Clerk: Phyllis MacKay ON MOTION (No. 149-10) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves minutes of August 18, 2010, as presented. CARRIED Jim Erb spoke to council about summer maintenance on Cloudy Lake Road. Laird Council will communicate with Macdonald, Meredith and Aberdeen Additional Council requesting an agreement regarding summer maintenance of Cloudy Lake Road and some other Macdonald Township Roadway. ON MOTION (No. 150-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council authorizes purchase of heavy grade netting for a fence at the waste disposal site from Net World Sports Ltd. as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 151-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves road accounts to July 31, 2010 as presented in the amount of $68,194.48. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 152-10) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves general accounts to September 2, 2010 as presented in the amount of $9,975.65. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 153-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council rescinds Motion No. 134-10 and approves policy for signing authority of the Deputy Clerk-Treasurer as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 154-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council authorizes Mayor Beitz attend 20th Anniversary Celebration of Tony Martin's Public Life. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 155-10) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves By-law 906-10 establishing advance poll for upcoming municipal election. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 156-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council authorizes signing of Letter of Agreement with TVO regarding transmitter set up at the municipal garage site. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 157-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves the establishment of joint Compliance Audit Committee as mandated in The Municipal Elections Act. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 158-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council authorizes absence of Councillor Junor for a three month period. CARRIED  ON MOTION (No. 159-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council authorizes a payment of $.50 per hour to Deputy Clerk-Treasurer effective September 6, 2010 with incentive of another $.50 per hour upon completion of the comprehensive Municipal Administrative Program (MAP) exam, and authorizes a $.50 increase in pay for the Planning and Administrative Assistant upon completion of the first two units of the MAP and another $.50 per hour upon completion of the comprehensive MAP exam.
