Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Donna Connolly, Chuck Frenette, Wayne Junor, Todd Rydall Road Superintendent: Michael Hunter Deputy Clerk: Rhonda Crozier Deputy Clerk Crozier carried out swearing-in of Councillors and Mayor for the Township of Laird. ON MOTION (No. 201-10) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves the minutes of November 17, 2010, as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 202-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves general accounts to December 1, 2010 as presented in the amount of $13,731.86. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 203-10) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council authorizes By-law 909-10, rezoning of Lot 24, Plan H763, as amended. CARRIED Colleen Alloi, Provincial Offences Officer for the township spoke on a property standards issue and a zoning issue. It was the consensus and opinion of council to communicate to FONOM that they would not like the election dates changed. ON MOTION (No. 204-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council approves quotes of Culligan Water Condition in the amount of $2948.00 plus HST for the Bar River Hall water system & Laird Township Hall water system and approves the quote of Culligan Water Condition in the amount of $3419.00 plus HST for the Laird Fairground's water system to comply with the Directives put in place by Algoma Public Health. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 205-10) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves quote of 2011 municipal insurance coverage from Algoma Insurance/Frank Cowan Company Limited in the amount of $44,391.00 plus tax and to increase the present limit of liability in the amount of $1500.00 plus tax. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 206-10) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that the approves the tender of Greg & Tracy Reidt for the purchase of the Old Bluff School, Plan H762, Lot 29, 2410 Government Road in the amount of $30,000.00.
