Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Donna Connolly, Chuck Frenette, Wayne Junor, Todd Rydall Clerk: Phyllis MacKay ON MOTION (No. 148-11) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves council minutes of August 24, and recreation committee minutes of June 27, 2011, as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 149-11) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves general accounts to September 7, 2011 as presented in the amount of $10,717.70. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 150-11) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that council advises the Village of Hilton Beach of its disappointment in its decision to withdraw from the recycling program that has bins placed at 17E Trading Post and Echo Bay Environmental Centre. It is unlikely that all residents of the Village will refrain from depositing recycling material at these two sites, yet the Village will not be funding same. CARRIED Road Superintendent Mike Hunter is to be asked to confer with Macdonald Township Road Superintendent regarding winter control on Cloudy Lake Road, and bring their recommendation back to their respective councils. ON MOTIO (No. 151-11) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council closes the next portion of the meeting to discuss a personal issue. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 152-11) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council returns to open meeting. CARRIED It was the consensus of council to enroll Michael Hunter and David Pollari in the Grader Operator course to be held in Macdonald Township.
