Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Chuck Frenette, Todd Rydall Clerk: Phyllis MacKay Joint meeting with council and Laird police services board was held prior to regular council meeting. Present: Mayor Beitz, S/Sgt. Dan Esposto, Ralph Crozier and Shirley Lapish. St/Sgt. Esposto reviewed last quarter with those present. A caution was given regarding 9-1-1 calls. They can be very costly when mistakenly placed from a cell phone. Other policing costs will be obtained. ON MOTION (No. 171-11) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves council minutes of October 12, and recreation committee minutes of October 25, 2011, as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 172-11) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council closes the next portion of the meeting to the public to discuss a personal issue. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 173-11) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council returns to open meeting. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 174-11) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council corresponds with Reids Road resident explaining that should her cattle leave her property again, the cattle will be rounded up, impounded and further appropriate action be taken as required. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 175-11) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves general accounts to November 2, 2011 as presented in the amount of $14,519.52. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 176-11) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Chuck Frenette that the road accounts to September 30, 2011 be approved as presented in the amount of $39,251.34. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 177-11) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves reduction in Roll 4-075, demolition of building, in the amount of $203.02. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 178-11) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves attendance of Clerk-Treasurer at the Treasurers Forum in Sudbury, December 1, 2011. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 179-11) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council accepts, with regret, the resignation of Shirley Keating from Laird hall committee, and appoints Phyllis MacKay as replacement. CARRIED Next council meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 24, 2011. ON MOTION (No. 180-11) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Chuck Frenette that the council meeting be adjourned.
