Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Chuck Frenette, Wayne Junor, Todd Rydall Clerk: Phyllis MacKay ON MOTION (No. 68-12) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves council minutes of April 18, and recreation committee minutes of April 24, 2012, as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 69-12) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves general accounts to May 9, 2012, as presented in the amount of $19,276.74. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 70-12) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council corresponds with Tarbutt Township advising it would agree to surface treat Townline Road, lake end, provided Tarbutt Township pays Laird's share with no penalty. Tarbutt Township's share will be adjusted during 2013 construction year. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 71-12) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves By-law 921-12 as discussed, regarding animals running at large, and submits to Regional Senior Justice, Ontario Court of Justice for set fine approval. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 72-12) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Todd Rydall that council supports resolution of Township of Macdonald et al regarding SPCA powers. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 73-12) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves Elaine Evoy as caretaker of Bar River hall and Suzanne Evoy as booking person. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 74-12) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council advises TVOntario that it is not interested in the tower and satellite dish situated at the municipal garage. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 75-12) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves expanded services from Municipal Waste Recycling Consultants as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 76-12) of Chuck Frenette, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves consent application for Roll #1-08000 as amended by extending north/south line full length of property. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 77-12) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves installation of new gate by Laird International Raceway, east of present gate, as discussed by council and D. Varcoe. CARRIED Council will take a look at bleachers at the fairgrounds. LIR will be asked to have engineer look at bleachers this year and may extend the next inspection two years. Gravel will be taken from Lakeway Truck Centre for roadway at Waste Disposal Site provided certificate is received from Ministry of Environment. ON MOTION (No. 78-12) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council closes the next portion of the meeting to discuss a personal matter. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 79-12) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council returns to open meeting. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 80-12) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council accepts resignation of Mary Reid, with regret.
