Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Donna Connolly, Chuck Frenette, Wayne Junor, Todd Rydall Road Superintendent: Michael Hunter Clerk: Phyllis MacKay Councillor Junor presented Mayor Beitz with a certificate and pin from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing on completing 25 years of service to Laird Township and its inhabitants. ON MOTION (No. 95-12) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves minutes of May 23, 2012 as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 96-12) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Donna Connolly that council approves 2012 general budget with a municipal tax rate of .01014925, Tax Ratio By-law 925-12 and Tax Rate By-law 926-12. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 97-12) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council supports the Bruce Mines Sno Glyders Snowmobile Club, in its attempts to keep the Clark bridge in Plummer Additional Township open, particularly given report of M. R. Wright and 9 tonne limit. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 98-12) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves Federal Gas Tax Schedule C for new surface treatment on Government Road as per presentation. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 99-12) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves sale of back lot, 111 Finns' Bay Road, provided property owner pays $2,000.00 to the municipality, and also pays all legal and survey costs. Conditions as per previous sales on back lots. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 100-12) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves Recycling Collection and Processing Agreement of Municipal Waste Recycling Consultants as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 101-12) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council approves write-off of penalty and interest in the amount of $29.99. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 102-12) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves general accounts to June 6, 2012, as presented in the amount of $16,444.96. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 103-12) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves new Laird International Raceway Agreement as amended, and submit to municipal solicitor for comments. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 104-12) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that council closes the next portion of the meeting to discuss a personal issue. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 105-12) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Chuck Frenette that council returns to open meeting. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 106-12) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council authorizes pro-rated vacation pay to Kenneth Tomlinson.
