Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Donna Connolly, Wayne Junor, Todd Rydall Road Superintendent: Michael Hunter Clerk: Phyllis MacKay ON MOTION (No. 114-14) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves council minutes of June 18, and recreation minutes of June 24, 2014 as presented. CARRIED Council entertained a delegation from Finns' Bay Road North regarding issue of trees obscuring vision and Algoma Power Inc.'s removal of same. ON MOTION (No. 115-14) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves road accounts to June 30, 2014 as presented in the amount of $54,124.30. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 116-14) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves general accounts to July 23, 2014 as presented in the amount of $57,925.55. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 117-14) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council advises the Town of Wawa that it understands its frustration with the Provincial Government's accelerated cuts to the OMPF program, unknown aspects of a new OPP billing model, questions about funding for aging infrastructure and in the case of Wawa, the reduction in Power Dam Special Payment Program. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 118-14) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council authorizes attendance of Clerk and Administrative/Planning Assistant at September Planning Conference in Sudbury. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 119-14) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council authorizes the extension of Building Permit Number 24-13 to expire December 31, 2015. CARRIED Darou Drive may be added to the Annual Road Association Grants formula. ON MOTION (No. 120-14) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that council closes the next portion of the meeting to deal with a personal issue. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 121-14) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Donna Connolly that council returns to open meeting. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 122-14) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council corresponds with Keith Brown, as discussed.
