CARRIED A delegation appeared before council to ask what was being done with back lots along Finns' Bay Road North. Council and staff will check on properties. ON MOTION (No. 125-14) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves road accounts to July 31, 2014 as presented in the amount of $15,688.30. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 126-14) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves general accounts to August 20, 2014 as presented in the amount of $40,075.72. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 127-14) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council corresponds with Macdonald Township et al, asking if any revenue is received from others for fire protection, and if so, why is it not accounted for in the fire department budget. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 128-14) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves low bidder JI Enterprises for Government Road Bridge Replacement in the amount of $1,098,200.67 HST included ($971,859.00 + HST of $126,341.67), subject to approval of Department of Fisheries and Oceans, and award supply of the 700XS Acrow Panel Bridge of span 27.29m and roadway width of 9.14m to Acrow Limited in the amount of $313,446.18 HST included ($277,386.00 + HST of $36,060.18). CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 129-14) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council supports resolution 63-2014 of Tarbutt and Tarbutt Additional township that outlines concerns regarding TSSA inspections, etc., as they relate to area gas stations. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 130-14) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council approves consent application Pt Lot 14, RCP H747, 815 Lake George Road East. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 131-14) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves By-law Number 952-14 regarding open air burning, and submit to Ministry of Attorney General of Ontario for set fines. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 132-14) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Donna Connolly that council approves advance poll for October 27, 2014 municipal election to be held Saturday, October 18, 2014 from noon to 6 p.m. at Laird hall. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 133-14) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves By-law 953-14 setting restrictions regarding leaving of vehicles and objects on a portion of Finns' Bay Road North and submits same to Ministry of Attorney General for approval. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 134-14) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Donna Connolly that council reduces back lot adjacent Deborah Stone of 81 Finns' Bay Road North to $2,000, which is not meant to set a precedent. CARRIED The next council meeting is scheduled for September 10, 2014. ON MOTION (No. 135-14) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Donna Connolly that council closes the next portion of the meeting to deal with personal issues.
