Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Donna Connolly, Todd Rydall Road Superintendent: Michael Hunter Clerk: Phyllis MacKay ON MOTION (No. 137-14) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council approves minutes of August 20, 2014, as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 138-14) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council approves road accounts to August 31, 2014 as presented in the amount of $77, 652.81. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 139-14) Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council approves general accounts to September 10, 2014, as presented, in the amount of $20,016.43. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 140-14) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council endorses concerns of Ontario Association of Police Services Board in petitioning the Provincial Government to enact legislation whereby all 9-1-1 related costs would be borne by telecommunications subscribers/users, and collected through telecommunications companies/carriers. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 141-14) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council authorizes the changing of speed limit signs on Pumpkin Point Road West and Neebish Road West to conform to established By-law 537.CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 142-14) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves By-law Number 954-14, establishing stop signs on Lakeview Road at Pumpkin Point Road West. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 143-14) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council requests Chief Building Official correspond with Townline Road property owners, advising the municipal would accept no responsibility for work completed on tarp barn without a permit. Advise that if it was more convenient, the $370.00 fee could be added to taxes. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 144-14) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council closes the next portion of the meeting to discuss property and personal issues. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 145-14) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council returns to open meeting. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 146-14) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that the council accepts the resignation of Aileen Pollari, with regret, as Property Standards Officer, and advertise for this position. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 147-14) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council corresponds with property owner at 99 Finns' Bay Road North that back lot could be purchased for $3,400.00. All survey and other costs to be borne by purchaser. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 148-14) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that the council meeting be adjourned.
