Present: Mayor: Dick Beitz Councillors: Donna Connolly, Wayne Junor, Todd Rydall Road Superintendent: Michael Hunter Clerk: Phyllis MacKay Macdonald, Meredith and Aberdeen Additional Council and Clerk met at 7:00 p.m. with council to discuss Nurse Practitioners Clinic and the fire department budget and its process. Sally Kennedy and Jim Withers reported to council on the Central Algoma Joint Disaster Relief Committee's (CAJDRC) activities. Council thanked them for their efforts on its behalf. ON MOTION (No. 161-14) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council approves minutes of October 8, 2014, as presented. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 162-14) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves general accounts to October 22, 2014 as presented in the amount of $26,026.91. CARRIED It was the consensus of council to recognize Sally Kennedy and Jim Withers for their work on the CAJDRC. ON MOTION (No. 163-14) of Donna Connolly, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves a donation to Crime Stoppers of SSM and Algoma District of $411.71 for the year 2014, and consider further donation at 2015 budget deliberations. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 164-14) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council advises Honourable David Orazietti, Minister of Government and Consumer Services, of its displeasure regarding recent activities of the Technical Standards & Safety Authority, and attend Town Hall meeting in Sault Ste. Marie, November 12, 2014 if possible. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 165-14) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Donna Connolly that council supports a joint application with Macdonald, Meredith and Aberdeen Additional Township to Sault Ste. Marie Community Development Corporation requesting assistance with Nurse Practitioners Clinic's operating costs for a one year period. CARRIED ON MOTION (No. 166-14) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council relieves, with thanks, Sally Kennedy and Jim Withers of their duties from Central Algoma Joint Disaster Relief Committee.
