MINUTES OF MEETING NUMBER 17 OF
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LAIRD
HELD 0N NOVEMBER 4, 2015
AT THE LAIRD TOWNSHIP OFFICE
AT 7:30 P.M.


Present:
Mayor: Dick Beitz
Councillors: Wayne Junor, Ed Lapish, Todd Rydall, Frank Turco
Road Superintendent: Michael Hunter

ON MOTION (No. 149-15) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves council minutes of October 21, and recreation committee minutes of October 27, 2015, as presented. CARRIED

Rhonda Crozier gave an overview of the recently approved Healthy Kids Community Program.

ON MOTION (No. 150-15) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Ed Lapish that council accepts report on Healthy Kids Program, and appoints Rhonda Crozier to the Steering Committee as council's representative. Laird Recreation Committee will serve as the Advisory Committee. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 151-15) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Frank Turco that council approves general accounts to November 4, 2015, as presented in the amount of $7,352.32. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 152-15) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council supports resolution of Macdonald, Meredith and Aberdeen Additional Township in requesting the Honourable Dr. Eric Hoskins, Minister of Health and Long Term Care ensure that provisions are made to sustain the existence of the Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinics in the area. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 153-15) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council advises the Desbarats to Echo Bay Planning Board that it is not interested in a joint official plan at this time. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 154-15) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Ed Lapish that council closes the next portion of the meeting to discuss personal issues. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 155-15) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council to open meeting. CARRIED

The issue of sand hill cranes and elk will be circulated to Algoma municipalities.

ON MOTION (No. 156-15) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Frank Turco that the council meeting be adjourned. CARRIED
