MINUTES OF MEETING NUMBER 21 OF
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LAIRD
HELD 0N JANUARY 20, 2016
AT THE LAIRD TOWNSHIP OFFICE
AT 7:30 P.M.
Present:
Mayor: Dick Beitz
Councillors: Wayne Junor, Ed Lapish, Todd Rydall, Frank Turco
Road Superintendent: Michael Hunter
Clerk: Phyllis MacKay
ON MOTION (No. 12-16) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves council minutes of January 6, 2016, and recreation committee minutes of December 15, 2015, as presented. CARRIED
Rhonda Crozier and Melinda Freer spoke to council about the North Channel Healthy Kids Community Program, and answered questions regarding initiatives of the group.
ON MOTION (No. 13-16) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves general accounts to January 20, 2016 as presented in the amount of $16,024.29. CARRIED
ON MOTION (No. 14-16) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Ed Lapish that council signs the Collaborative Agreement for North Channel Healthy Kids Community Challenge. CARRIED
Mayor Beitz and Councillor Junor reported on attendance at Ontario Provincial Police, Sault Ste. Marie District Commander interviews. The results of the competition will not be known for a while as interview information has to be compiled and sent to Orillia for final decision.
ON MOTION (No. 15-16) Todd Rydall, seconded by Ed Lapish that the council meeting be adjourned. CARRIED
