THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LAIRD
HELD 0N JANUARY 18, 2017
AT THE LAIRD TOWNSHIP OFFICE
AT 7:30 P.M.
Present:
Mayor: Dick Beitz
Councillors: Wayne Junor, Ed Lapish, Todd Rydall, Frank Turco
Road Superintendent: Michael Hunter

ON MOTION (No. 07-17) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Frank Turco that council approves council minutes of January 4, 2017, as presented. CARRIED
Information on proposed grader purchase will be included in next agenda.
Road Superintendent Hunter reported that the generator at the Waste Disposal Site is working again.
ON MOTION (No. 08-17) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Ed Lapish that council approves general accounts to January 18, 2017 as presented in the amount of $16,573.77. CARRIED
ON MOTION (No. 09-17) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves By-law 982-17 as presented, reducing speed limit on a portion of Lapish Road. CARRIED
ON MOTION (No. 10-17) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Frank Turco that council approves purchase of Facility User Solutions as quoted by Algoma Insurance, for a yearly cost of $1,139.00 and have recreation committee determine extra costs for this service. CARRIED
ON MOTION (No. 11-17) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Wayne Junor that council supports the Annual Retro Ride by giving a $100.00 donation to the activity. CARRIED
It was the consensus of council to purchase a short-wave radio for the municipal office.
ON MOTION (No. 12-17) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Wayne Junor that council supports proposed development of PT LOT 14, RCP H746, and advises Ministry of Transportation of its endorsement. CARRIED
ON MOTION (No. 13-17) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that the council meeting be adjourned. CARRIED
