ON MOTION (No. 20-17) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Ed Lapish that council approves council minutes of January 26, 2017, and recreation committee minutes of November 29, 2016, as presented. CARRIED

Discussion of grader tender was held and it was stressed that it had to be done quickly.

Karen Brown, owner of Lot 14, RCP H746 spoke to council about the proposed rezoning.

ON MOTION (No. 21-17) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Frank Turco that council approves Zoning Amendment for Lot 14, Plan H746 by passing By-law 983-17. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 22-17) of Todd Ryall, seconded by Ed Lapish that council approves general accounts to February 1, 2017 as presented in the amount of $14,114.76. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 23-17) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Frank Turco that council approves road accounts to December 31, 2016, as presented in the amount of $40,619.82. CARRIED

Gilbertson Enterprises is to be contacted regarding availability of winter sand.

ON MOTION (No. 24-17) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Ed Lapish that council approves signing of Fire Department Agreements with Macdonald, Meredith and Aberdeen Additional Township for 2015-2016 and 2017-2018, as presented. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 25-17) of Frank Turco, seconded by Todd Ryall that council accepts the resignation of E. Roy Lapish from the Laird Fairgrounds Management Board, and expresses its appreciation for all the work he has done for the municipality and the board. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 26-17) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Ed Lapish that council supports the position of Owen Sound in forwarding a letter to the Ministry of Transportation encouraging it review the gas tax funding formula. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 27-17) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Ed Lapish that council approves the quote of Philips for the purchase of a defibrillator in the amount of $1,948.12 for use at the Laird hall and fairgrounds. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 28-17) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Frank Turco that council approves closing of the municipal office, February 10, 2017 in order to facilitate a smooth transition of newly acquired computers. CARRIED

Councillor Rydall reported on break wall enquiries for the wharf area, and cenotaph styles.

ON MOTION (No. 29-17) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Ed Lapish that the council meeting be adjourned. CARRIED
