MINUTES OF MEETING NUMBER 61 OF
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LAIRD
HELD 0N DECEMBER 13, 2017
AT THE LAIRD TOWNSHIP OFFICE
AT 7:30 P.M.


Present:

ON MOTION (No. 167-17) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves council minutes of November 22, and recreation committee minutes of November 28, 2017, as presented CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 168-17) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves general accounts to December 13, 2017 as presented in the amount of $25,067.77. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 169-17) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves road accounts to November 30, 2017, as presented in the amount of $54,851.42. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 170-17) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Ed Lapish that council approves unexpected capital expenditures for the Bar River Hall, and transfers $10,304.62 to the recreation committee. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 171-17) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves Fire Agreement with Macdonald, Meredith and Aberdeen Additional Township for 2017 - 2018, and authorizes Mayor and Clerk to sign same. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 172-17) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Frank Turco that council approves the signing of Sand Agreement with Broadspectrum for winter sand, should it be required. CARRIED

The next council meeting is scheduled for January 10, 2018.

Mayor Beitz reported on council donating the Laird hall to Matthews Memorial Hospital Association for its General Annual Meeting, January 27, 2018.

ON MOTION (No. 173-17) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves By-law 993-17 adopting Emergency Management Plan, and appoints members to the Emergency Management Program Committee, as presented. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 174-17) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Frank Turco that the council meeting be adjourned. CARRIED
