MINUTES OF MEETING NUMBER 63 OF
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LAIRD
HELD 0N JANUARY 24, 2018
AT THE LAIRD TOWNSHIP OFFICE
AT 7:30 P.M.


Present:

ON MOTION (No. 09-18) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves minutes of January 10, 2018, as presented. CARRIED

Slow moving vehicle and elk signs were discussed.

ON MOTION (No. 10-18) Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that council approves general accounts to January 24, 2018 as presented in the amount of $13,824.50. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 11-18) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Frank Turco that council approves road accounts to December 31, 2017 as presented in the amount of $32,122.23. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 12-18) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Ed Lapish that council supports the stance of Ontario good Roads Association in amending the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCA) process to better integrate and harmonize the CMEA process with processes defined under the municipal official plans and provincial legislation. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 13-18) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Ed Lapish that council supports resolution of November 7, 2017 of Town of Lakeshore in petitioning the governments of Canada and Ontario to immediately allocate infrastructure funding dedicated to municipalities for storm water management and drainage improvements. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 14-18) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Wayne Junor that council acknowledges reports of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change for the fairgrounds and waste disposal site, and takes appropriate action on same. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 15-18) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Frank Turco that council advises Superior Motorplex of its decision regarding proposed schedule for 2018. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 16-18) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Frank Turco that council closes the next portion of the meeting to discuss personal and property issues. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 17-18) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Ed Lapish that council returns to open meeting. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 18-18) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Wayne Junor that council accepts 2017 Council Remuneration Report, as presented. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 19-18) of Frank Turco, seconded by Ed Lapish that the council meeting be adjourned. CARRIED
