THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LAIRD
HELD 0N SEPTEMBER 5, 2018
AT THE LAIRD TOWNSHIP OFFICE
AT 7:30 P.M.
Present:
Mayor: Dick Beitz
Councillors: Wayne Junor, Todd Rydall, Frank Turco

ON MOTION (No. 139-18) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Frank Turco, that council approves council minutes of August 21, 2018, as presented. CARRIED
ON MOTION (No. 140-18) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves general accounts to September 5, 2018, as presented in the amount of $7,994.50. CARRIED
ON MOTION (No. 141-18) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Frank Turco that council approves quote of C. Burton Trucking for $30,944.71, including HST for ditching requirements as described. CARRIED
ON MOTION (No. 142-18) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Frank Turco that council joints with area municipalities, as set out in Macdonald, Meredith and Aberdeen Additional By-law Number 18-2014, appointing an audit committee for Central Algoma Area Municipalities as per Section 88 of the Municipal Election Act, 1996. CARRIED
Laird Fairgrounds Management Board will be asked to look at supplying recycling bins for the grounds in 2019.
Councillor Junor reported on information received from the Ontario Provincial Police regarding special investigations unit.
ON MOTION (No. 143-18) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Frank Turco that council closes the next portion of the meeting to discuss personal issues. CARRIED
ON MOTION (No. 144-18) of Frank Turco, seconded by Wayne Junor that council returns to open meeting. CARRIED
ON MOTION (No. 145-18) of Todd Rydall, seconded by Wayne Junor that the council meeting be adjourned. CARRIED
