MINUTES OF MEETING NUMBER 79 OF
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LAIRD
HELD 0N OCTOBER 3, 2018
AT THE LAIRD TOWNSHIP OFFICE
AT 7:30 P.M.
Present:
Mayor: Dick Beitz
Councillors: Wayne Junor, Ed Lapish, Todd Rydall, Frank Turco
Road Superintendent: Michael Hunter
Clerk: Phyllis MacKay
ON MOTION (No. 158-18) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Todd Rydall that council approves minutes of September 19, 2018, as presented. CARRIED
ON MOTION (No 159-18) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Frank Turco that council approves general accounts to October 3, 2018, as presented in the amount of $2,142.52. CARRIED
It was consensus of council to make its annual donation to Algoma Fish and Game in support of the Children's perch derby next spring.
ON MOTION (No. 160-18) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Frank Turco that council advises D. Varcoe that no activities will be allowed until completion of council's previous requests and those outstanding issues as noted by the engineer. CARRIED
It was consensus of council to combine the Seniors' BBQ and thank you volunteer dinner into one occasion as the Seniors' BBQ and Volunteer
Thank-you Luncheon.
A letter was read from participants of the Canine Dog Training Course thanking council, recreation and the instructor.
ON MOTION (No. 161-18) of Wayne Junor, seconded by Frank Turco that council closes the next portion of the meeting to discuss personal issues.
CARRIED
ON MOTION (No. 162-18) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Todd Rydall that council returns to open meeting. CARRIED
ON MOTION (No. 163-18) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Wayne Junor that the council meeting be adjourned.
