MINUTES OF MEETING NUMBER 6 OF
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LAIRD
HELD 0N MARCH 20, 2019
AT THE LAIRD TOWNSHIP OFFICE
AT 7:30 P.M.

Paul Cassan from Wishart Law and Peggy Young-Lovelace of E4m conducted a council training session for new and returning councillors.

ON MOTION (No.31-19) of Shaw Evoy, seconded by Frank Turco that council appoints Todd Rydall as Acting Mayor. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 32-19) of Shawn Evoy, seconded by Ed Lapish that council acknowledges Ministry of Infrastructure funding for Rural and Small Municipalities and requests Tulloch Engineering complete application for Lakeview bridge. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 33-19) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Shawn Evoy that council approves minutes of March 6, 2019, as presented. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 34-19) of Shawn Evoy, seconded by Ed Lapish that council approves general accounts to March 20, 2019 as presented in the amount of $1,489.56. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 35-19) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Frank Turco that council approves road accounts to February 28, 2019 as presented in the amount of $42,308.90. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 36-19) of Frank Turco, seconded by Ed Lapish that council supports the resolution of the Town of Saugeen Shores in petitioning the Government of Canada and Province of Ontario to move forward with accepting applications for funding Recreation and Culture Capital Infrastructure. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 37-19) Ed Lapish, seconded by Shawn Evoy that council approves refund of taxes on Roll #4-059 in the amount of $528.86, due to error in mortgage company payments. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 38-19) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Frank Turco that council adjusts council meeting day to third Thursday each month, and reduce number of meetings from two to one, effective May 1, 2019. Special meetings may be at the call of the chair. CARRIED

ON MOTION (No. 39-19) of Shawn Evoy, seconded by Ed Lapish that council supports City of Quinte West in the promotion of drinking less bottled water. CARRIED

A positive report was received from the Children's Perch Fish Derby organizers and staff.

ON MOTION (No. 40-19) of Ed Lapish, seconded by Shawn Evoy that the council meeting be adjourned. CARRIED
