This follows the trend set several years ago and reflected in the rates for 2009. The recent upgrade at the waste disposal site is a project that council is extremely pleased with. It is hoped that residents continue to recycle and place other refuse in appropriate areas. The Township is currently calling for tenders on a new roof for the Laird Hall. It is expected that this will alleviate the ice build-up problem. Several new roads have been surface treated in the past few years and council will continue with hard surface on another road in 2010, as well as apply a third coat on roads that require it. Tenders will be called for a new snow plow truck, with no tax increase to the ratepayers.
